The Urban Education Studies (UES) program prepares scholar-leaders to address the complex challenges of education in urban settings. The program emphasizes advanced research, theory, and practice to help students critically examine and respond to issues facing schools and communities.

Located in downtown Indianapolis, the program offers direct access to urban schools and organizations, enabling students to build partnerships and apply their scholarship in real-world contexts.

Graduates pursue diverse career paths, including roles as university faculty, researchers, policy specialists, school or district leaders, and nonprofit professionals.

This is a non-licensure doctoral program.
