Urban Education Leadership (100% online)
Offered at IU Indianapolis by School of Education
About
This is an online program.
The Urban Education Leadership program is designed for educators preparing to lead in urban schools. This dynamic program prepares aspiring school leaders to address real-world challenges using reflective practice, data-informed decision-making, and collaborative problem-solving.
Students may pursue both the M.S.Ed. and Indiana Building Level Administration (K–12) licensure. The curriculum integrates online coursework, in-person experiences at a school-site practicum, and culminates in a performance-based capstone project. Key components include action research, educational rounds, mentoring, and community building—all designed to develop leaders equipped for today's accountability-driven education systems.
Flexible, online synchronous courses foster meaningful connections among professionals while offering personalized support and coaching from program faculty.
Note: Students must fulfill all Indiana Department of Education licensure requirements.
