About
The Graduate Certificate in Urban School Leadership is designed for educators who already hold a master's degree and are seeking to become leaders in K–12 schools. Successful completion of the program qualifies candidates to be recommended for the Indiana Building Level Administration (K–12) license.
The program prepares aspiring principals to lead with integrity, navigate complex systems, and implement effective changes in educational settings. Key areas of focus include ethical leadership, school-community engagement, instructional improvement, and systems-level school development.
The program integrates courses with in-person experience through a school-site practicum. Courses are delivered in a flexible, online synchronous format that promotes collaboration with faculty and peers while accommodating a professional schedule.
Note: Students must fulfill all Indiana Department of Education licensure requirements.
