About
If the thought of working with K-12 students and helping them navigate complex social, emotional, and intellectual challenges appeals to you, becoming an education specialist in school psychology may be the path for you.
School psychologists play a key role in supporting the academic, developmental, and personal goals of the students they work with.
In the Specialist in Education (Ed.S.) degree program, you will take coursework in three primary areas: professional studies in school psychology, psychological foundations, and research/inquiry methods. You'll study topics from assessment and intervention to social justice and equity, and you'll learn the most effective ways to communicate with students, their parents, and school administrators.
Students enrolled in this program complete school-based practica and a 1,200-clock-hours internship to gain specific and highly impactful experience. Graduates of the program are eligible for certification as a school psychologist in Indiana only.
