About
The Bachelor of Science in Radiologic Sciences offers three separate concentrations:
- Radiation Therapy: This program is designed to prepare you for a professional career as a radiation therapist in the medical field by providing pertinent learning experiences. Courses include classes in radiologic principles, radiation therapy, clinical application of theory, and general education courses. Additionally, lectures, labs, and clinical experiences are integrated throughout the program.
- Advanced Clinical Concentration for Radiographers: This program is designed to prepare you as a radiographer with advanced skills to provide patient services in cardiac interventional radiography, computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging, mammography, and vascular interventional radiography. You will select one of the advanced clinical concentrations to receive a theoretical foundation and clinical education to prepare for a career in your specialty.
- Diagnostic Medical Sonography: This program is designed to equip you with the unique skills needed as a diagnostic medical sonographer, a professional who, under the direction of a radiologist, is adept with the proper operation of ultrasound equipment and preparation of patients for various types of diagnostic medical sonography procedures. Through imaging techniques, you will be able to reveal evidence of disease, injury, or other significant medical information.
