The IU Online M.S. in Criminal Justice and Public Safety focuses on the intersection of criminal justice and public safety.
You can tailor this program to your professional interests by choosing one of two concentrations -- criminal justice or public safety -- to lead you to a rewarding career.
This degree will prepare you for careers in corrections, law enforcement, investigation, security, juvenile, and more. You will complete coursework in a variety of special topics, including crime mapping, geographic information systems, and cybersecurity, among others. The curriculum also covers the analysis and improvement of policies through quantitative research methods, statistical techniques, and critical assessment of current approaches based on empirical evidence.
IU Northwest also offers a fully accredited Master of Public Affairs (MPA) degree with four concentrations to prepare you for careers in government, criminal justice, public administration, nonprofit leadership, and more.
