About
In the B.F.A. in Digital Art program at Indiana University Southeast, you'll gain the creative and technical skills to express your artistic vision using traditional and emerging digital media.
The curriculum spans a wide range of techniques, including digital photography, experimental and narrative video production, animation, web design, projection mapping, and motion-based interactivity.
Whether you're exploring short films, immersive digital environments, or conceptual digital art, you'll develop a strong foundation in visual storytelling, aesthetics, and contemporary media culture.
You'll explore the cultural and conceptual implications of digital imagery, learning how still, moving, and interactive visuals communicate ideas and influence audiences. Through hands-on projects and guided experimentation, you'll sharpen your critical thinking and creative problem-solving abilities while building a portfolio that reflects your unique voice and vision.
Whether your goal is to exhibit work in galleries, create media for clients, or push the boundaries of digital expression, this program prepares you to thrive in today's evolving creative industries.
Students in the Digital Art concentration train in cutting-edge facilities, including two Macintosh computer labs and the Time-Space studio—a professional lighting space for photo, video, and animation work.
You'll check out industry-grade gear from the Fine Art Gear Lab, including DSLR cameras, 4K production equipment, audio recorders, microphones, and digital drawing tablets.
Students also receive full access to Adobe Creative Cloud, including Photoshop, Premiere Pro, After Effects, Illustrator, and more—on all campus computers and personal laptops—at no additional cost.
