Program focus

With IU Southeast's Bachelor of Science in Digital Media and Storytelling, you'll learn how you can use digital tools to create artistic and professional messages and stories. You will develop a critical understanding of the role and influence of media domestically and globally and how to tell a compelling story. You'll learn to critically evaluate and assess information and its credibility as well as acquire career-ready skills in communication and techniques to engage and inform audiences.

  • Digital storytelling

Degree requirements

To earn a B.S. in Digital Media and Storytelling, you must complete 120 credit hours, broken down in the following areas:

  • Core courses (22 credit hours)
  • Specialization courses (15 credit hours)
  • Capstone course (3 credit hours)
  • General electives courses (as needed to total 120 credit hours)

Students will also be required to complete one of the following 15-credit specializations:

  • Public relations
  • Digital storytelling
