Grounded in a competency-based education with field education as the signature pedagogy, Bachelor of Social Work students prepare for generalist social work practice with individuals, families, groups, and communities.
Students pursuing this professional degree gain theory and practice knowledge, skills, and values to work with and advocate for clients and perform research to evaluate and intervene at multiple system levels.
With the program based on a strong liberal arts curriculum, students gain a foundation for lifelong learning to be agents of change.
Transfer Single Articulation Pathway (TSAP) degree programs at IU Fort Wayne allow students at Ivy Tech Community College and Vincennes University to earn an associate degree in a specified field and then transfer to IU with junior status to complete a bachelor's degree in the same field.
