If you have an Associate of Science, an Associate of Arts, or at least 30 credit hours of coursework that can be applied toward a university degree, including pre-nursing courses, the Bachelor of Science in Applied Health Science (BSAHS) can prepare you to work in a variety of health careers.
This degree is designed for students who are seeking a broad understanding of the science of human health and its application to their chosen career. It is designed to enhance your potential for career advancement within the healthcare sector in entry- and mid-level positions in both for-profit and not-for-profit organizations.
The program covers the basic technical and applied aspects of health science. Courses include healthcare delivery and leadership, health communication, policy, and ethics. Students learn about the economics of healthcare and receive foundational knowledge in legal matters.
There are two degree tracks to choose from:
- Community Health Educator Track
- Health Administration Track
